What is Assisted Living?

Assisted Living Centers offer private rooms for elderly individuals, and a place they can call their own. They offer 24-hour onsite care and supervision, while providing personal care, help with medicine and housekeeping.

Assisted living goes by many names, including Personal Care, Residential Care and Elder Care. While there are many similarities to Nursing Home Care, the greatest difference is the type of patient or resident. Assisted Living Facilities provide personal care-level assistance for the elderly, while Nursing Homes are designed to provide medically-supervised services for patients that require a higher level of care.
